This is the 2nd Ceanothus Silkmoth fresh out of its cocoon that showed up on my deck in the morning and I had to save it from getting squashed by stampeding dogs on their way outside. Like its predecessor, this one eventually flew away after a few minutes. They sure are cool looking…and very large!
